• Essential - required for the Platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in, navigate securely, or complete purchases.
• Analytics & Performance - help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform so we can improve performance and user experience.
• Functional - remember your preferences such as theme (light or dark mode) and language settings.
• Advertising - used to deliver relevant promotions and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, where applicable.

3. Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the core functionality of the Platform. They enable authentication, session management, secure page navigation, and fraud prevention. Essential cookies cannot be disabled, as doing so would prevent the Platform from operating correctly.

During the transition to header-based authentication, the optional mee6r_auth cookie may still identify a legacy server session (httpOnly, set by our backend). The dashboard primarily stores a session token in the browser and sends it via the Authorization header. A non-secret mee6r_session flag cookie may also be used so route protection can detect a signed-in state without exposing the token. Session secrets are not readable from that flag cookie.

4. Analytics & Performance Cookies

These cookies collect aggregated, anonymized information about how visitors use the Platform - which pages are most popular, where visitors come from, and whether error messages are displayed. We use this data to improve the Platform's speed, reliability, and design.

Analytics cookies are optional. You may decline them without affecting your ability to use the marketplace.

5. Functional Cookies

Functional cookies enhance your experience by remembering preferences you have set. On the landing page and legal pages, the mee6r-landing-theme cookie (stored in local storage) remembers whether you have selected light or dark mode, so the theme persists across visits.

These cookies are not essential for the Platform to function, but they improve usability. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

6. Advertising Cookies

If we run promotional campaigns, we may use advertising cookies to show you relevant offers and measure campaign reach. These cookies may be set by third-party advertising networks. We do not use advertising cookies to create sensitive interest profiles.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal.

7. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services we integrate with, such as payment processors, OAuth providers (Google, Discord), and analytics tools. These third parties have their own cookie and privacy policies. We do not control cookies set by external services and recommend reviewing their policies for more information.

Cookies fall into two categories based on how long they remain on your device:

• Session cookies are temporary and deleted from your device when you close your browser. They are used to maintain state during a single browsing session.
• Persistent cookiesremain on your device after you close the browser, for a period ranging from days to years, depending on the cookie's expiration date. The mee6r-landing-theme preference is an example of a persistent cookie.
